Program Outcomes (PO) Achievement


Program outcomes are established based on inputs and recommendations of numerous stakeholders. These include inputs of the industrial advisory panel members, external examiners, government policies, students, alumni, Board of Engineers, and the lecturers themselves. These inputs will ensure the establishment of PO that are sustainable, achievable and effectively reflect the desired characteristics of a competent manufacturing engineer.

In general, the process of determining the achievement of the POs can be explained into five steps, namely, the development of the outcomes, defining the assessment tools and the performance criteria, the collection of the assessment results, review and analysis of the assessment results, as well as review report and recommendation. The complete process, also known as PO assessment cycle, see figure below.
